I finally get out of my car and walk over the bridge to find the entrance to the path which leads to the cache.

Sinking Feeling

My GPS is indicating 270 when I get a glimpse of the river through the trees... not liking it.

Decide to fire up my 2nd GPS to make sure. Takes a few minutes to lock satellites...

Take the Plunge

Finally I decide to go for it and head through the trees and down the banks to the river.

Found it!

After soaking my boots and wading knee-deep into the river wearing sandals, I find the submerged ammo can tethered to a tree and haul it back to the banks.

I am the first to find the cache and take the crisp $20 prize, sign the log book, then seal it all up and wade out into the river to toss it back for the next cacher (3 weeks and counting - no one else has found it!)
